Exclusive rivers and unique dams have been selected to provide just that, anglers can have the chance to experience first hand the natural and diverse environmental wonders whilst partaking in their favorite past time, fishing.

Fish lakes surrounded by majestic bushveld and mountains while being under the ever-watchful eye of the mighty hippo and crocodile. Delicately cast a fly to sighted fish in crystal clear steams in the high country or disappear into canyons in search of those ever-elusive trophy fish.

These waters play host to a myriad of some of the finest fresh water angling species known each with a unique appearance and fighting quality that is unmatched.

Tiger Fish

The top predator is the voracious Tiger Fish this striking torpedo shaped fish is capable of biting through steel trace and smashing lures. With unbelievable speed and the acrobatics to match that of its salt-water cousin the tarpon, this fish is a true challenge to bring to boat and one that even has the experts in awe.

Catfish

Not to be underestimated is the robust Catfish. These huge fish can be seen hunting shoals of large baitfish, and are eager to engulf a large fly or lure that is big enough to warrant their attention unbelievably strong and capable of pulling boat and angler around these are the true tackle breakers of the fresh water world!

Bream
Gear up for some of the biggest Bream imaginable. In excess of 10lbs these fish will aggressively savage any large spinner, lure or fly the battle ensued is one of never say die with may of these fish been lost near the boat.

Yellow Fish

Moving towards the cooler streams a keen eye will pick up the tell tale signs of the elusive Yellow Fish, one is able to cast a fly or lure to sighted fish commonly known as the poor mans bone fish.

The biggest of this specie the Largemouth (Barbus Kimberlensis) can attain a size of over 50lbs these fish will hunt down any large lure or fly and have the ability of jumping like bass!

Follow the smaller tributaries up into the high country 6000ft and beyond, scale down to a delicate number two outfit and fish for wild Rainbow Trout in the finest of gin clear streams these highland runs hold surprisingly large fish the record standing at 14lbs!

To top this all Largemouth Bass, Silver Cat Fish, Paper Mouth and Common Carp are but a few of the many available species waiting to test the anglers skills.

CLIMATE AND WEATHER

Winter Temp: 36-70F(April to September)
Summer Temp: 75-100F(October to May)
Highest Rainfall: Jan/Feb

Compared to the rest of the world South Africa is blessed with a very moderate climate. The heat during Summer is very dry and intense with the occasional thunderstorm occurring in the late afternoons, winters evenings are cold warming up to pleasant daylight temp.

The month of August is the most influenced by strong wind.

Fly Outfit: 6 - 8 wt floating/Sink Tip/Quick Sink
Spinning Outfit: 6' 6" (light/medium)
Bait casting Outfit: 7' 0" (medium/heavy)
