I have fished with Pierre on numerous occasions over the last 8 years. The man exhibits a wealth of knowledge in all aspects of our sport. His desire to ensure the success of his clients places him streaks ahead of the other guiding services found locally. Most of my fondest fishing memories were made possible by him!

Having known and fished with Pierre Marais many times over the past 12 years I am always amazed at the wealth of knowledge he displays, not only about one specific species which I feel is the downfall of many in this industry, but about a myriad of different species.
He has guided me onto anything from brutish barbel (giant catfish), small and largemouth bass in their dozens on both streams and dams alike, beautiful rainbows in mouuntain lakes, yellowfish in sluggish rivers, and a plethora of salt-water gamefish on fly.
I lok forward to one day intorducing him to the waters of the Great Barrier Reef and the Top-End estuaries so favoured by Lefty Kreh here in Australia, but have the sinking feeling that yet again, I might learn a few new tricks from him.
I will defintely fish with him again and highlye recommend his trips to anyone wanting to experience the beauty of Africa whilst being able to cover the many species on offer there, from mountain stream to coastal drop offs.
